For the final coleection we can presnet as a film or catwalk and i was thinking about doing a short fil, although it would be hard to do it all on my own, especially with such short time! this is a film for vanessa bruno collection which i particaly liked. showing emotion and fun, striped back and the model and concept are great x

Hiya! sorry i havnt been around for a long time have been so busy with work! i am in my 3rd year studying fashion and am currently working on  project for Burberry, making a toile aswell, and a project for anna sui, i shall post some of my work up soon, just got my printed fabric back for Sui which is exciting! also doing dissertation and final collection research to!! so i shall leave you with a song, i love the video aswell, muted and beautiful. x

Kitcsh and Cute

These are framed pictures i stumble across on urban outfitters home, they have some really nice things that i would LOVE to buy, still waiting to win the lottery sadly though! These are some georgeous prints by R.Berkley which are so cute, but i would want to buy both as i think they would look great as a set, and they are rather expensive, seeing as they are not original prints or vintage frames. Ive been drawing characters slightly like this in the form of mice so im into his work. perhaps ill just frame my drawings instead!

This is an Anna Sui  vinatge inspired cream dress, it is so beautiful, and has my 3 favourite things combined in what id look for in a dress! cream, velvet, and lace!

Bright young things is a great film based on the book Vile Bodies, its a great movie to watch and a great novel to read. These images are the mood i feel from that age, i love 1920s the glamour, the parties! it would have been great to experience it!

Most Curious

 These images show Tracey Nuels, a shoe designer based in london, and danish artist Nina Saunders, collaboration with textile brand sanderson at neuls shop in london. It is titles Most Curious

The scene is of a chair bursting out on to the floor, i like how the apholstry is not modern but the sctultpure is, and the matching shoes are great, eyecatching promotion!

The shoes are amazingly crafted, and not taken to seriously with a sense of humour, i love the rabbit ones above!

Kroma - "Sexy Films" (1984)

This is such a good record, my boyfriend introduced it to me when i was looking for songs for my trend film. its a great song, hard to come by though! x

what did you do today? we played dress up!

In Uni (At Kingston University, London) we got the chance to look up close to some great vintage garments, i have collected vintage garments for a few years now, i shall have to do some posts dedicated to my collection, i collect wearable, and unwearable items!! 

It was like being in a vintage store or market without rumaging through all the rubbish they thats gets called 'vintage' these days. It is definately more expensive to buy vintage then it was, but  i think it will change around soon, as it is costly to buy vintage and alot of it falls apart when you wear it. 

For me  i feel its important to take inspiration from the new and thrive on finding shape and colour through art, architecture and the world around you! But i think its important to look at vintage for the way it is beautifully made and structured.

looking at pockets, fastening, and inside the garment at construction is a way of incorporating some vintage in designs, as alot of clothes have lost this craftmenship these days.

FASHION WEEK SS'11: ANNA SUI

    

I love the smiles on the models and how chilled they look! The collection was earthy, sparkley boho. The era 70s which has been seen alot on the catwalk this season.  i would like The head piece that lily donaldson wears in the final!

Anna Sui wanted to be a designer since she was 4, she used to watch her mum sew and make clothes for her dolls.

I love the detail on these shoes, if you go to new york you must go see the store! if your a fan you should definitely checkout her  website as the illustration and graphic are so cute!

A glimpse into lost memories, pictures tell stories .........

I got this album when i was a Spitifields market in London a while ago, i love to collect old photos, but albums are much better to collect, this one is my favourite, i often like to think what their life was, this albums shows them well travelled,  going to parties and are very much in love!  There are photos from venice, rome, cologne, milan

The fron cover has a painting on and reads 'Gruss vom Drachenfels' which is german for Cheers the Drachenfels.  The Drachenfels means 'dragons rock' and is a mountain in Germany, and there is a ruined castle at the top, which is what the painting is of.

Here is an image of the castle, the painting on the cover of the album looks just like it! According to german legens Siegfired- the hero if the Nibelungenlied killed a dragon living in a cave in the mountain, then bathed in its blood to become invulnerable.

This shows the couplle, that are featured through out the album, it must be around 1946. Her dress is typcally 40s

I love this image, titled ' two girls and a ladybird' their outfits are so sweet, not as clear in the photo as i wanted, i had to take photos as the album would be damaged by the scanner.

titled ' Leim Wand & Wimble', again another good outfit, this women is stylish!

taken around 1946, its an amazing scene to capture him mid air! 

There are some good swimwear shapes!, there are many more photos but this is a few i have picked out more of the clothes than the architecture etc, must be there holidays photo albums.  Its sad that this album does not belong in the family, it is a great album.
