Paris fashion week

Celine

Celine SS11 showed in Paris, minimalistic chic, neutral colours with bold coloured outfits, i love the raw woven jackets, this collection is fresh and new, clean cut with great details, raw high end couture.

A highly influential brand,  which is sophisticated in its own right, i think celine are just going to get bigger and bigger, as i think the market is looking for more clean cut, well designed items.

The collection was mainly white and cream with the added use of colour,   i liked the brown leathers looked like 70s inspired furniture, with the bright blue really sets it off and the clean cut smoothness was a nice contrast with the raw cream jackets.

Nina Ricci

Nina Ricci collection had some nice elements, i like the prints, and the bursts of statement colours. i liked the collars on the jackets, open and curvey.

the bagged up shorts are great, although a shape seen often but they are wearable. i like the tucked in waist with the volumuness pleats of the tops and shorts.

Cacheral

Cacharel had bright colours, catwalk lit in bright orange, like blazing sun, acidic floral prints and great pop colours i love the dresses with the pleats and manipulation.  i thought it was a very strong collection with lots of daring colour. the orange catwalk is a bit off putting though..

 Sonia Rykiel

Sonia Rykiel Spring 2011 ready to wear collection included beautiful light weight knits with some great colour ways.  Lots of bright colour blocking, prints and tassels. I loved the shapes of the boxy and figure hugging hour glass shapes set into the outfits. The shapes created within the outfit to give a sillhouette gave a contrast to the bagginess of the outfit.
