SHEER VINTAGE STYLE
I love the sheer style which is still right on trend, but adding vintage style sheer to the mixture is subtle and beautiful, especially when teamed with lace or pretty underwear, adding a vintage, modern twist.

LFW SS11 TREND REPORT
I decided to do a video instead of photography to show trends at fashion week, as i think with a video you get to see more about the outfit, you can see how it moves, the attitude of the person, and from different angles of the body, side front back!.I only have the basic Imovie so its the best i could do! i will have to get saving for some good software! I love forecasting and making movies and its definitely something i would like to explore and do more of! The footage was taken at Somerset House as i said before, i only got back from Paris late Tuesday so it is filmed on the Wednesday which is menswear day, i was focusing on womenswear mainly as that is what im interested in, i have filmed men if they where particularly eyecatching!
watch on youtube for better quality HERE i will post the video in the next post above!

KEY TRENDS-what you should be wearing!
RED
Touch of Red
Red was everywhere at fashion week, block red jumpers, trousers to shoes, team with a simple outfit. Red heels look great with rolled up trousers, simple coloured outfits, cream and beige.
TURBANS
Turbans- look out for knitted types this winter and fabric ones that look great if worn right with the right outfit, have to have the right attitude to pull this one off, looks great with long hair or hair all scooped up inside.
Caramel tones, Capes, and Coats
Caramel tones, browns and beige is everywhere as you must have noticed by now! the trend is still strong, on the street and on the catwalk! capes and coats and duffles are all in these hues, so are trousers. To add a twist to this trend wear a bright strong colour to set it off.
HIGH TOP BUNS
buns are still around as ever, worn messy and scraped back, saves getting a haircut i guess! worn eveywhere at fashion week.
POLKA DOT
Polka Dot is going to be big next season so catch the trend bus early! wear polka shorts, tops, dresses! the classic polka is back!
WEDGED HEELS AND LACE UP BOOTS
wear lace up military style boots, pair with girly outfits, and short shorts to show off leg! wedged heels are everywhere and comfy and easier to walk in, there are some great styles out there.
JODPHURS
Well im not going to feel as self conscious walking up to my riding school in my jodhpurs! Get into this equestrian style by buying jeggings in navy and browns, patches of suede feel on the inside of the leg for the extra horsey feel! nab pairs at zara now!
TAPERED TROUSERS
BLACK AND LEATHER
Black and leather is always hot on with the people walking around outside sommerset house, every season it is around, safety net perhaps? make it updated with leather shorts and skirts, and add sheer tops to soften the look and have a contrast in fabrics.
SHEER LAYERING
Sheer layering, wear sheer cream shirts, tops, layers of sheer fabric, get on the new trend early, as seen on the catwalks, sheer layered skirts, i want one now please!

London Fashion week Favourites SS11
Antonio Beradi
The shapes of the tops are feminine and sculpting of the body, interesting and different, using sheer panels which has been seen alot this fashion week.
The combination of khaki and pink is great, i love wearing this combination, its not a new colour palette though, i like the skirt shape, new play on maxi, but still get to show off your legs!
Masha Ma
Masha Ma had is a great new designer with their debut collection. relaxed muted colours with tasteful metalics and strong details see the catwalk show here
Antipodiom
Antipodium. I love the colour scheme, vintage granny chic! reminds me of pot pourri pressed flowers! The sheer layerd skirts is a new play on the maxi skirt, but still shows a bit of leg!! It was elegant and pretty, the sheer layering made it modern.
Hermoine De Paula
Hermoine De Paula collection is amazing, with the right on trend sheer layers cropping everywhere, and her beautiful prints, feminine yet grungey. This collection is one of my favourites. I like the touch of cobweb knits adding texture and print to interesting outfits.

Beautiful prints by Romina Karamanea the blue prints look like ripples and shadows of the sea, and i like the layres of red tones and prints.
This dress is by Jade Kang, i didnt really like her whole collction, but i liked this dress, perhaps its because the dress caught my eye in the photoshoot, as you get to see the detail and the different textures, soft on rough.
The images above are from David longshaws collection, it was shown at vauxhall fashion scout 'ones to watch' which shows emerging new talent. I love the feather shoulder piece which is by Katherine Lee (for David Longshaw)- I love feather and bird related accessories! I like the playful illustrations on the dresses and the sculpture tops and trousers.
I Love this outfit, consisting of swimsuit, blazer and dress, by Romina Karamanea. The colour is amazing and i love sheer fabrics, which are popular this season. The Sharpness of the jacket plays with the floaty feminine dress.
This is Mark Fasts collection, i wasnt as amazed as i wanted to be by his collction, i love his knits with jewels in especially when you see them up close on a hanger and the way the sculpt the body is amazing, this collection i feel isnt pushed enough, i guess because his technique is much the same, he still had some great outfits, posted above.
